Crocheted Ear Warmer Headband Activity

The Relief Society met together at Marci Shaw's home

to learn how to make crocheted headbands.

Gabi Bodell was our instructor. (thank you)

19 sisters showed up, and had fun crocheting and counting stitches. A few of us had to start over a few times, but we finally "GOT IT"..

This was Marci's last activity

that she was in charge of before getting ready

to serve her mission with Duane in St. George.

Here's the recipe:

"Gingersnaps"

cream together

3/4 c. shortening

3/4 c. margarine

2 c. sugar

add 2 eggs

1/4 c. light molasses

4 c. flour

1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1 tsp. ginger

1 tsp. cloves

2 tsp. soda

1 tsp. salt

mix them into balls and roll in sugar

and cinnamon mixture.

(1/4 c. sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon)

frosting:

powdered sugar

vanilla

water

drizzle across top of cooled cookies

Delicious Red Onion Salad Dressing recipe...

Salad Dressing recipe because I kept asking for it!!

She has brought it on several occasions and it's very tasty.

☼

1/3 cup Red onion

4 tsp. dry mustard

1 cup red wine vinegar

2 c. sugar

1 tsp salt

Combine all of the above into a

blender/food processor till frothy. Add 2 cups

Canola or vegetable oil slowly while blending.

Makes 1 quart

1927-2010

His church service was a great source of happiness all his life, and it began at 14 years of age, when he was called to be the Assistant Superintendent of the Sunday School. He loved serving in many different positions in the church. He loved taking scouts and youth camping. He loved to camp and he loved kids. He shared memorable camp outings with his children and later his grandchildren. Douglas could fix anything and helped his family and neighbors repair cars, sprinkler systems, electrical wiring, appliances, plumbing, and even helped build homes.
