"The deepest desire of the general Relief Society presidency is to help each woman in the church "prepare to receive the blessings of the temple, to honor the covenants she makes and to be engaged in the cause of Zion."

Welcome to Relief Society luncheon

The Relief Society Presidency provided a luncheon for the new young sisters coming into Relief Society.
Heidi hosted the lunch and served the food on her grandmas china.
We had chicken salad sandwiches, a lovely variety of fresh fruit and two yummy desserts, which included red velvet macaroons, and apple cake.
*
We then shared with the girls our love and testimony of Relief Society and
explained what is involved and how this great organization can bless families in and out of the church.
Pam Pratt is our young woman liaison and she shared her love for the girls, and her testimony as well.
We are excited to wish these girls well as they begin many adventures in their life.
Jessica Dudley is off to England and will be attending her home ward. Vashti is excited to go to the singles ward in Orem and she will be attending BYU. Kristen Haslem is attending the singles ward and going to BYU community school, and then off to BYU in Orem.
Kelsy Fitt who is in St. George during our luncheon will be living at home and attending our ward Relief Society..
****
No matter where we go or where we live, we will always belong to the largest women's organization in the world.
We all need each other, and we all can make a difference in someones life.
We are all on the Lord's team!!!!!
We love Relief Society♥

Sending our girls off to camp..

Our Presidency love the young women and their leaders.
We see them at least once a month in Relief Society and
during activities. They are a delight, and we like to fuss over them when we can.
Our tradition every year is to drop off goody bags
with treats representing the young women theme as they depart for camp.
This year was "Are you part of the Inn crowd or of the stable few" ( Christmas in July ).
Everything was in red and green colors.
We wished them well and gave them hugs!!!
Traci Brown and Trisha Ellis were in charge of camp this year. They
stayed at Traci's cabin.
Beth, Adrienne, and Missy were there to supervise as well.
Have fun girls.
Our Society hoped you enjoyed our "Relief"

We say goodbye to a dear friend....

CAROLYN FULLMER
1940-2011
Carolyn died after a courageous 10-year battle with a rare form of cancer. She married her sweetheart, Richard (Jim) Fullmer, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on September 22, 1960. Together for over 50 years, they raised five children: Greg (Dee Dee), Mindy Harbrecht (Chris), Scot (Jennifer), Angela Gowans, and Christian (Chaelyn). Through those children they have been blessed with 7 grandchildren and one great grandson. Carolyn enjoyed many hobbies including collecting and making dolls, ceramics, sewing, cooking, planting petunias, ballet and Sunday drives with Jim. She had a movie collection larger than Blockbuster and was notorious for cheating at all board games. Carolyn and Jim belonged to a unique group of friends known as "The Study Group," seven couples who gathered together monthly to discuss the gospel, parenting and a whole lot of desserts. Carol had a faithful testimony and love of our Savior, Jesus Christ, that she often shared with her family. She willingly served in many callings in the LDS Church.
God Bless you Carolyn, we will miss you.

Colorful Diet and exercise class....

Thank you so much Amy and Paul Lemmon for
teaching a class on wellness. They gave us handouts on how to
remove, restore, and re balance the body.
They talked about the colorful diet and how those foods can help
keep our bodies working correctly.
*****
Red foods give energy, clean out, and build the immune system. (strawberries)
Orange foods help the blood, digestion and repair damage. ( carrots, squash)
Yellow foods help with your knowledge, indigestion, and the nervous system. (pineapple, bananas)
Blue foods help the mind and body, headaches, throats (blueberries)
violet foods help strengthen the nervous system and your mental health. (eggplant)
indigo foods help with your sight, hearing, eyes, ears skin, lungs (olives)
******
The 4 major things we can do to help our health is exercise,
remove cheese, white bread and sugar.
******
After Amy and Paul taught us we did yoga and exercised, with all of us SWEATING.
We had 9 grain bread that Amy had made. Fruit and veggies.
It was a wonderful Relief Society Meeting.
