Holly Saunders McKell 1974 ~ 2011

Holly, 37 passed away at home April 2, 2011 due to complications from complex congenital heartdisease. She was born to Reed and Bobbi Saunders on April 8, 1974 with the probability of only living days. Defying the odds and pioneering a multitude of medical procedures, Holly amazed and taught us all by enduring 37 years of pure faith and strength. Holly was radiant with happiness. She had a positive attitude, always looking for the best in others, never judgmental, or self-pitying. She brought sunshine to everyone she met. "Strangers are friends I haven't met yet." Heaven is happy Holly is home. Born in California and growing up in the Cottonwood Heights area, Holly's deep love of the gospel of Jesus Christ influenced all who knew her. Her adventurous spirit took her to live in Arizona for seven years where her love of life and friendships grew. Moving back home to Utah, Holly met her sweetheart Quintin Thomas McKell. "It was truly my best moment when I met Quintin. I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father for putting him in my life." They were married in the Jordan River Temple July 8th, 2006. Together Quintin and Holly embarked on the greatest adventure of their lives, living in Australia for a year. There they adored the people, especially in their little branch, that loved them back. They cherished the birds, animals, and flowers of Cairns, Australia. Survived by husband Quintin, parents Reed and Bobbi Saunders, sisters, Lisa (Greg) Lake, Shelly (Craig) Peters, brother Danny Saunders, nieces and nephews. She loved Quintin's family and her constant friend Melanie Ledingham as well as hundreds of valued friends. Holly was a member of our ward and captured our hearts with her strong spirit and willingness to live a happy life in spite of all her health complications. She was an amazing Relief Society Teacher. We rejoiced with her when she found the love of her life, Quintin. She was an amazing woman who taught us all how to live and how to die.

We will miss her, but her memory will last us a lifetime until we can meet with her again.

N. Douglas Williams

1927-2010

His church service was a great source of happiness all his life, and it began at 14 years of age, when he was called to be the Assistant Superintendent of the Sunday School. He loved serving in many different positions in the church. He loved taking scouts and youth camping. He loved to camp and he loved kids. He shared memorable camp outings with his children and later his grandchildren. Douglas could fix anything and helped his family and neighbors repair cars, sprinkler systems, electrical wiring, appliances, plumbing, and even helped build homes.

Ray spent many years building and remodeling LDS Churches and Temples.
He served faithfully as well for many years in the Jordan River Baptistery
and several other church callings.

Ray was a pioneer and contractor in the drywall business for over 50 years.
He loved baseball and fishing.

Ray was a friend to everyone.

He had a wonderful life surrounded by his family.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go.

Some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts,

and we are never, ever the same.

Darlene was known for her immaculate flower gardens, and was a wonderful cook.

She was a faithful member of the Church and offered countless hours of service.

We will miss you our dear friend.
