Mothers Day

MOTHERHOOD:

"Mothers walk the sometimes painful, sometimes joyous path of parenthood. You have walked hand in hand with God in bringing children into this world that they might experience this estate along the road of immortality and eternal life. It has not been easy rearing a family. Most of you have had to sacrifice and skimp and labor night and day. As I think of you and your circumstances, I think of the words of Anne Campbell, who wrote as she looked upon her children:

"You are the trip I did not take
You are the pearls I cannot buy
You are my blue Italian Lake
You are my piece of foreign sky"

The Sisters of the ward were treated to cookies that the Relief Society Presidency had made for them, and the Sunday School gave all women a beautiful Geranium. 

Mothers Day 2010.....

Mothers Day in the union 3rd ward was wonderful this year. Sacrament meeting was inspiring. The talks were given by Tayva Musig, Karli LaPoint, Jeff Abbott and Mike Christensen. A special musical number was sung by Meagan Payne and Andrew Payne.

The sisters in the ward were all given geraniums, as an expression of love and appreciation for all that they do.

Relief Society began by practicing a song together that they will sing in Sacrament meeting the following week. Vera Ritchie is the director. Carol Dunn is the pianist.

Ingrid Hyatt presented the lesson on Prophets. She had personal stories and wonderful quotes. We gained a better appreciation for the Prophets of our church.

The last 10 min. of Relief Society time the primary kids came in and sang to all the sisters. There were many tears of joy. They sang several songs, that added so much to the spirit of our meeting.

The Relief Society passed out cookies to all the sisters in the ward. A big thanks to Sara Payne for making cookies for 80 women in our ward. . The cookies were delicious..Thank you so much..

We hope all our sisters felt loved and appreciated on Mothers day.
