recipes to smores bars and English butter cookies

Golden Graham Smores

8 C Golden Grahams
6 C miniature marshmallows (10 oz bag)
1 12 oz pkg chocolate chips
1/4 C light corn syrup
5 T butter
1 t vanilla
Grease 9x13 pan
Melt 5 cups marshmallows (save 1 cup for later), all the chocolate chips, butter and corn syrup in a saucepan over low heat stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.
Put Golden Grahams into a large bowl, pour marshmallow mixture over cereal, stir until evenly coated. Stir in remaining marshmallows.
Press mixture into pan with buttered hands. Cool until as firm as you'd like. Cut into little squares

English Toffee Cookies

1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour (stir in flour)

spread on 10x13 in. cookie sheet and press down. Bake at 300 for 17-20 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately spread on 6 oz. chocolate chips.(i sometimes melt the chips in the microwave before spreading) Then spread the ships and sprinkle with chopped nuts if desired.
